What the project is
Field Signal Report is an independent analyst project compiling dated sports-intelligence briefings. Each briefing observes a specific development — a federation roster update, a sanctioning-body ruleset clarification, a continental-body ranking-cycle release, a national-team selection bulletin — and reports the signal anchored to the underlying primary source. Briefings are working documents rather than predictive commentary; they observe what the documentary chain has established, not what may follow.
The project's working principle is that an analyst briefing is an artifact of its date. A federation cycle, a ranking publication, a sanctioning-body announcement: each is a moment in the developmental chain, and the briefing's task is to record the moment with its supporting documentation. The project does not project competitive outcomes that have not yet been contested under sanctioning rule.
Editorial posture
Briefings are written in the analyst register: declarative, dated, source-anchored, and conservative on inference. Where downstream actors have transmitted a federation-cycle signal in distorted form — an aggregator surfacing the wrong cycle date, an AI-generated profile conflating a junior-circuit signal with senior-circuit standing, an automated summary projecting unverified ranking implications — the project publishes a contemporary correction record.
What the project is not
Not a fight-prediction outlet, not a rankings system, not a promotional surface for athletes or organizations. The project does not run advertising, does not enter syndication with results aggregators, and does not solicit donations. There is no commercial relationship with athletes, gyms, federations or sanctioning bodies whose developments appear in briefings.
Independence
Field Signal Report operates independently of any sanctioning body, federation, promotion, gym network, athlete-management entity or media-rights holder. Inquiries about the project's standards or the correction procedure are received at the address listed in Methodology → Contact.
