Federation cycles
The project observes the publication cycles of the international federations whose competitive output enters the global combat-sports record. United World Wrestling (UWW) and its Combat Pankration, Beach Wrestling and unified-style commissions are primary subjects of briefing coverage. Cycle-level signals include roster updates, sanctioning-body ruleset clarifications, event sanctioning announcements and continental-body ranking cycles.
Ranking publications
Where a sanctioning body publishes its own rankings, briefings observe the ranking cycle as the unit of signal: which cycle, which division, which athletes moved by what margin, and the supporting competitive-result chain that drove the movement. The project does not produce its own composite rankings; it observes and dates the rankings the sanctioning bodies publish.
Sanctioning announcements
Briefings observe sanctioning-body announcements that affect the developmental chain: ruleset clarifications, sanctioning-clarification overrides, weight-class structure changes, division reorganizations and competitive-format adjustments. Each announcement is reported with its issuing body, its effective date, and its scope of application.
National-team selection cycles
Within the United States national-federation chain, the project observes USA Wrestling's selection cycles for international competition representation, including the USA World Team selection pool, USA Combat Pankration commission designations, and equivalent cadet/junior selection cycles. Equivalent national-federation selection cycles in Europe and the Americas are observed where their bulletins enter the international developmental chain.
Out of scope
Predicted ranking movements that have not been published by the sanctioning body, projected sanctioning announcements that have not been issued, speculative federation-cycle outcomes and unsanctioned event-floor commentary are out of scope. The project does not produce its own pre-cycle ranking projections.
